
Rick joined Howland Capital in 2009, after working in the accounting and legal fields, most recently for Fidelity Investments as COO of their legal department. At Howland Capital, Rick focuses on tax research and preparation. In addition, he supports the investment group through transactional tax and estate planning. Rick graduated with both a B.A. and MBA from Boston University and a JD from Suffolk University Law School. Rick is admitted to practice before the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court and the U.S. Tax Court.
He is a former Guest Lecturer at both Suffolk University Law School and Cambridge College. Previously, Rick served as both the Treasurer and Trustee of the Forbes House Museum in Milton and the Treasurer of the Boston Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
Rick lives in Milton with his wife and enjoys outdoor sports including fly fishing, competitive skeet and trap shooting, and boating.
