Ways You Can Help the COVID-19 Relief

Foundation clients of Howland Capital are turning their focus to address the COVID-19 crisis by providing critical support to organizations serving the community. In this time of need, it can be challenging to identify how giving will directly impact those who need it most. Below are some suggestions from Kate Grundy, our Vice President of Foundation Services:

• In Boston, The Boston Foundation has initiated a response here:

• The City of Boston has created the Boston Resiliency Fund to provide food to children and seniors, technology for remote learning, and support to first responders and healthcare workers in Boston.

• Philanthropy Massachusetts has assembled a wide range of opportunities to help others across Massachusetts. It is available on their website:

Similar efforts are happening across the country. Look to your local Community Foundation or United Way, many of which have launched COVID-19 funds to support those most affected by the virus response.
