Howland Capital’s “family” roots run deep. The firm was founded by Dusty Howland to help steward and grow the family’s wealth, and throughout our 55-year history, we have been privileged to work with and learn from hundreds of families to help them harness their financial resources to achieve their family goals.
One of the benefits of working with families for decades is that we have experienced, along with our clients, the different phases of life and how finances are intertwined with inevitable transitions. Over my years as a financial advisor, I have come to appreciate the unique life experiences that so many women have, and how critically important their financial well-being is—not only for their individual success but that of the entire family unit.
To kick off 2022, Howland Capital will be taking a “deep dive” into conversations about women and money. It is no secret that women’s influence is growing in economic terms, and we want to do everything we can to ensure that our clients—women, men, and their next-generation family members—understand and embrace the importance of women’s financial well-being and their unique way of looking at how wealth can be a positive influence in their lives.
We have engaged Linda Davis Taylor, an expert and champion of women’s economic independence and strength to collaborate with us through her innovative Money Stories Program. Through a series of podcast “fireside chats” with several Howland Capital team members, articles, and a virtual interactive workshop, we will explore various aspects of women’s financial lives.
I am very excited about this series, and I invite you to join us for the conversations! Please stay tuned for our first podcast, featuring Carolyn Beatty, CPA, releasing soon.
Sincerely,
Weston Howland III, CFA
